Dispalying a Second Spectrum
The LWW program allows displaying two spectra simultaneously. This is useful for example for comparing spectra recorded at different conditions (pressure, path lenght, temperature). In the present setup, only the first spectrum can be used for making assignments. This is the spectrum defined in the step of Starting a New Project. The second spectrum can be used at present only for a visual control, but making assignemnts from it reqiures creating another project.
The second spectrum is included into the project by the Load Second Spectrum from the File Menu. This starts the standard Windows dialog for opening a file for the Peaklist file and Spectrum file, respectively. When these steps are completed, the second spectrum appears as the lower trace in the Spectrum window.
The second spectrum can be hidden by the One Spectrum command of the View Menu and brought back again to the Spectrum window by Two Spectra command in the same place of the View Menu. The information about the second spectrum is not stored in the project file, which means that the procedure for loading the second spectrum described above has to be done every time when the project is closed and opened again later.
