Spectrum window (assignment functions)
This part of description of the Spectrum window (SpWin) is related to its synchronization with assignment actions performed in the Assignments and Loomis-Wood windows. This synchronization is done every time a certain transition is selected in either window where assignments can be done, i.e. in the Assignments or Loomis-Wood windows.
When a line in the Assignments window is selected (i.e. a ceratin I value of the active branch), the predicted wavenumber (WnCalc) is placed exactly to the center of the Spectrum window, which is denoted by a red vertical line, when the function View selected peak from the View menu is switched on. In this case his means peak found closest to this predicted position is marked with an empty peak marker (circle). After assignment of the peak is done, the peak marker gets filled with the color of the active branch. The wavenumber corresponding to the center of SpWin is shown in the text box when the cursor is outside SpWin, otherwise it contains the wavenumber, that correspond to the instantaneous position of the cursor within SpWin.
The synchronization of the spectrum position in the Spectrum window is slightly different, when the assignments are searched and done from the LW window. In this case the wavenumber of the selected peak (not necessarily the closest one to the prediction) is put to the center of SpWin. Every time another line is selected in the LW window, the content of the text box showing the wavenumber of the current peak is updated in SpWin. Obviously, when the cursor is inside SpWin, the textbox contains the wavenumber of the instantaneous position of the cursor within SpWin.
It should be also noted that when several LW windows are open and focus is changed from one to another, the content of SpWin is changed accordingly.
