Giessen/Cologne Loomis-Wood window
This window (GC-LWWin)is designed for making assignments in cases when the LSCD are not yet available. It follows the 'classical' approach of the Giessen/Cologne Loomis-Wood program [B.P. Winnewisser et al., J.Mol.Specctrosc. 136 (1989) 12-16]. The window is opened for a selected active branch in the BrWin by clicking on the rightmost button in the row of the Loomis-Wood buttons of BrWin, which must be either a P branch or an R branch. The initial setup of the window is based on the first two transitions of the branch, either the assigned ones or the closest ones to the first two predicted values, which serve for the determination of the 'average' B constant for the LW diagram. The traditional setup puts the P branch to the upper part of the diagram (with the values of J increasing upwards) and the R branch to the lower part of the diagram (with the values of J increasing downwards). When the diagram is opened, the cursor is placed on the first triangle line marker of the J-series of the active branch. The navigation of the cursor in the GC-LWWin is synchronised with displaying the spectrum in the Spectrum window and also the peak information in the Peak List window (if open).
Assignments are possible within this window. Every assignmnet action is written to the Assignments table. The series of assignments can then be fitted directly in this window by clicking on the Fit button in the second row of the control section in the upper part of the window.
When searching for continuous branch patterns, it may be sometimes convenient to see the spectrum in the process of stepwise changing the values of B and delta_B. This is done by setting the value of the B-step (in the upper line of the control section). The Loomis-Wood diagram is then redrawn after each click on the up / down buttons on the right-hand sides of the B and dB text boxes with its value changed by the preset value of the B-step.
The layout of the GC-LWWin can be modified by the same settings which are applied to the GSCD-LW Windows from the Loomis-Wood options (Ctrl+O) in the Loomis-Wood menu.
